Urban Ostriches

Urban Ostriches is a lithograph series by Di WU, exploring the unexpected presence of ostriches within contemporary urban landscapes. Moving through roads, crossings, vehicles, and fragments of city life, these elongated figures appear at once misplaced and strangely at home.
Rendered in a restrained palette of blue, black, and white, the works combine playful observation with a subtle sense of displacement. The ostrich becomes both a character and a quiet metaphor — wandering through spaces shaped for speed, order, and human routines.
